There is ample parking for two cars. The cottage is well maintained and furnished to a high standard with
personal touches by the owner and caretaker Mrs Brenda Walton, who is
on hand to welcome you on your first day. |
Dacre is a beautiful picturesque village located amid rolling hills and countryside yet junction 40 of the M6 is only 4 miles away. The village boasts a castle, a superior Norman Church and an 18th century village inn just 120 yards from your door! Ullswater lake, Pooley Bridge and Dalemain Country House & Gardens are all within walking distance. With many walks available from your doorstep Barn End and Barn Croft offer an ideal base for you to enjoy your holiday within the Lake District National Park. For eating our, there are many local pubs within the area offering a wide selection of country fare, and the 18th century Horse and Farrier is just a short stroll! For a special treat you could book a table at the renowned Sharrow Bay or Leeming House hotels which are closeby.
